Bottle. Very dark brown with beige long-lasting head. Dark, smoky / roasted malt aroma. Medium body with plenty of fine carbonation. Rich with a sharp and bitter edge giving good balance. Malty with fruit and some dark chocolate / coffee notes with a bitter finish. Well balanced, but Porter is not my favourite style.

Poured a dark mahogany colour with a thick caramel coloured head; typical chocolate malt aroma; sweet at first but balanced with a bittterness like that found in dark chocolate or cinder toffee. Satisfying but not outstanding.

Bottle 500ml. Dark brown with slight hint of red, off white head some dark chocolate aromas which also were in the flavour some roastiness there with malts prevalent, this wasโnt bad just nothing earth shattering.

Bottle from Asda. Dark ruby colour with thin tan head. Nice dark fruit aromas bit of bitter choc in mouth with black cherry and blackberry. Really nice dark beer, Finish is just a tad short
