Bottle, 4.6% ABV. Unsurprisingly, it pours a quite pale golden body under a small off-white head. Weak aroma with some artificial lemon initially, followed by grains and some citrusy hops. It’s not bad, it just gives an artificial impression. Effervescent, medium body with citrus, pale malt and a hint of metal flavor. It finishes with artificial lemon and some maltyness. There’s also some bitterness, quite appropriate level for the style. Easy to drink, but it would probably be challenging to drink more than one bottle of it. It’s too artificial-lemony. (081019)

330 ml green bottle, now available in Norway. The label only says "Meteor BiΓ¨re d’Alsace". ABV is 4.6%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big white head. Initially a citrussy and sweetish Heineken-like aroma (an American would probably say "skunky", but I don’t mind), the aroma sort of "dies" in the glass. Fairly "clean" pale lager flavour, moderately sweet and slightly citrussy, very moderate hops, not offensive but far from exciting.

Big offwhite shiny head leaves lacing as it slowly subsides. Brass body. Grassy rubbery aroma with milky sugar notes. Dry-acidic grainy rubbery taste with milky notes. Aftertaste is cardboard with hoppy traces. Thin body, harsh mouthfeel. Sweetish unclean background. Yuck! (0.33l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

Light grassy aroma. Ok, it’s a lager. Brassy gold color with a white head that leaves. After the carbonation is out of the way there is a light malty sweetness. There is a bit of hop, but the malt dominates the finish. Sort of a musty aspect in the long finish. It is different. Way better than Bud. Which is damning with faint praise.

(Bottle 25 cl) Label simply says "Meteor" at 4,6% ABV. Fully golden with a nice, dense head. Pronounced malt and hops in the nose, but not really very bitter. Light and quenching with soft, malty flavours - and nothing much more. 140201

Hmm..amber coloured, with a small but persistent head. The first sip suprised me, it was bitter, with some unidentifiable, but survivable flavor, which went nicely with the assault of bitteness. So I was quite optimistic when I went to finish the bottle. The optimism soon faded... the next few sips revealed just the bitterness with absolutely no flavor, just a bit of lemony sourness and some hints of caramel near the end. I might have it again...

Light grassy, caramel and some flowery notes. Nice amber, no head though. Dusty anonymous flavors. Medium to light body. Slight caramel aftertaste. Boring.
