Peach Double IPA

Cream Puff War is brewed with honey malt and lactose, fermented with peach puree and double dry-hopped to create a deliciously unique, smooth and balanced ale. We set out to emulate the popular milkshake IPAs of our time and quickly veered off course to artfully merge sweet and hoppy.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: bright orange haziness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: peaches - sweet and tart with the lactose and some vanilla
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a creamy sweet quality; finishes like peaches dipped in cream
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable, very smooth along the tongue, low carb and low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: not a bad milkshake IPA and that says a lot from me since I'm not usually a fan of this style.

16oz can from Stowe Public House & Bottle Shop, drunk by a beaver dam waiting for the beaver to come out. Misty gold appearance, good white head. Rich peach aroma, continuing to taste, complimented by smooth lactose, light bitterness, slipping down easily.. solid peachy DIPA

16 oz can from John, thanks friend, 4/4/22. I was not expecting a half can of fruit to pour out of the can and into the glass around the 11 of 16 oz mark, but here we are. This one is pretty ugly in the glass. Orange, with floaties on floaties. Some of the floaties even have their own floaties. Anyway, as for the beer beyond it's appearance it's not bad. Stone fruit and milk sugar. Vanilla. On the sweet side. Decent mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Ridiculously hazy orange and raw honey coloured body with a very large three to four centimetre tall very soapy tan head that fades very quickly but leaves a very ugly lace on the sides. Aroma of alcohol, grass, resin, orange juice, light peaches, lactose and a heavy bite of curacao and candy sweetness. Medium to Full-bodied; Ultra rich malty, lactosey and creamy notes dominate with a mouth-watering peppery and yeast kick that has a lot of resinous and hop bite, especially at the end, but the citrus fruits and orange juice are strongest here. Aftertaste shows a lot of range with the hop complexity sitting atop the rich malts, creaminess with lactose and full-flavoured with the candy and slight dryness on the end. Overall, a pretty nice almost Imperial IPA with a lot of lactose and creamy notes, a super rich bite from the malts, but nice hop complexity and pungent sugars. Great to try very fresh, while the peach isn't here at all, the cream definitely is, and it works well! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Arlington (Ballston), Virginia on 26-February-2021 for US$5,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 16-March-2021.

Pours a hazy bruised peach color from a can. Peachy aroma, peachy flavor, would be a little crazy if this wasn't a peach beer. Very good beer.
