Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and rye, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

An unclear amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and very wheaty. The flavor is sweet wheaty and dry hoppy - more like a wheat beer than a rye beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Yeasty, bananaish aroma. Medium body, heavy yeast accents, vitamin notes, a slight tartness and a rather hoppy finish. 040213

3rd Wiener Bierfest, Vienna, Austria. Sampled by Kis Salétrom and Szebeni Ászok. SZÁ: Levezetésképpen még megkóstoltunk néhány különlegességet. A Thurn and Taxis után ideje volt már végre egy másik rozssört is letesztelni, hogy akkor ez most hogy van. Hát. Szaga búza, íze foggyógyszer. KS: Hát ja, ez a tipikus rozssör, amit minden utcasarkon kapni.

Cloudy orange brown beer. Crisp palate. Rich fruity beer with a good carbonated bite. Hint of banana. Soft and frothy in the mouth. Tasty.

Bottle at the Vienna airport, on the sly, poured sneakily into a glass borrowed from the nearby McCafe. Pours a mostly clear gold with a fine, white head. Bread and faint toast in the aroma. Light sweet flavor, faint tang to the malts suggesting poor condition. Some leaves and mild, toasty wood. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry, leafy bitter finish, some dry toast and light tang. This one isn’t great, but it could be an unfresh bottle. Yeah, dome dry and woody bitterness lingers. Kind of dire.

Bottle. Murky amber color, small white head that settles quickly. Aroma of feet, and liverwurst on rye. Taste is slightly sour, rising bread dough and light spice. Intriguing.
