Premium Pils

A solid beer. Some hops in the aroma, smells like a pilsner. Flavor is fairly crisp with malt and more hops. Heavily carbonated and it has a bite. A good summer beer.

Clear golden color with white head. Sweet lager and grainy malt aroma. The taste is about the same as the aroma. A mixture of sweet and grain malts. Very nice smooth and mild flavor.

Pours bright gold into a shaker. Creamy white conglomerate head. Lemon and earth notes. Upfront bitter hops with an abrupt metallic finish.

Bottle: Pale golden, small but quite firm creamy white head; grainy, dusty, a bit soapy nose; mild bitter, a bit grassy flavour, maybe sweetish, too; short, bitter, quite dry finish with a metallic tinge. Not really bad, but neither a good bavarian nor a good german Pils.........

I am not much of a pils fan but decided to try this one anyway. Sampled on draft at Schnitzels Tavern in Bellefonte PA this beer poured a medium golden color with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet fruits - pear and apple mostly and light floral hops. The flavor starts moderately sweet and fruity with a peppery middle and a light floral hop presence followed by a dry finish. Pours a light yellow-gold, clear and bubbly with a frothy white head in abundance, good to fair retention but no lacing. Aroma of grassy, nicely apparent hops, spring water, light pale grains and a touch of honey and crisp yeast. Aroma seems to check out well enough. Flavor starts out with a lovely crisp mix of grassy, lightly spicy hops mixed with clean lager yeast. Good bite on the end, ample carbonation is stiff at times, but ultimately passable on my palate. Light biscuits and touches of honey grace the palate, and refreshment is attained. But then, as I get towards the middle of the bottle, I’m greeeted with plasticy notes. Kind of a waxy/crayon sort of thing. A touch tinny (or some sort of metallic note) is ever so faintly apparent, as well. No matter, it dosent really ruin the experience, still a refreshing pils.

(Bottle 50 cl) Golden with a fine head. Great hoppy aroma on a malty base. Long but not very bitter palate. 051100

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Big white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, with hints of grass. Has a sweet malty taste with bitterness in the aftertaste. Pretty good pils, but i like the weizbier better from Paulaner.
