Timmermnas Kriek from a can! Can you believe it? It shouldn’t be like this..But the aroma is wonderful, to my surprise. Cherry, almonds, not too artificial. It looks like (at least partly) real cherries have been used. Very sweet, sugary flavor, but also not too artificial. Cherry pits, almond. A real kriek shouldn’t be like this, but it really wasn’t that bad. Tradition Kriek Lambik: (3.6) Nice red color with a touch of pink. Cherry and vanilla aroma and flavor. A good deal of sourness with a nice and soft fruity sweetness. Some caramel. Rather thin. Not a traditional kriek, by no means perfect, but surprisingly good.

On tap at Weekend der Spontane Gisting, Opstal, Belgium. Shared with lovely Anja. Dark ruby red to purple, minimal head. Aroma is fruity, gluey, dark cherry, cherry brandy. Sour cherry flavour, cherry candy, light and watery, some acidity lingers on. Some leather, fruit jam, acetic acid in the finish. Soft carbonation. Very nice fruity character. Some sweetness.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. SYNTHETIC AF! Surprisingly alluring colour but just far too sweet....barely a beer.... Bottle. Agree with the above. 2.4 to 2.6. Why do they bother making it so sweet....

From old tasting notes. Dark red, mahogany brown color. Bubbly tan head. Zesty, tart cherry malt aroma. Tangy sour cherry malt flavor. Sour, earthy malt finish and aftertaste. Quite tasty, but lacks complexity.

Picked this up in Greece of all places. Big sweet cherry, nose. Taste is heavy on the sweet cherry, mild malt in there somewhere, barely there funk, fairly sweet.
