18/XII/15 - on tap @ Delirium Café (Brussels) - BB: n/a (2015-1717)
Clear pale yellow beer, solid creamy white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, bit grassy. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty bitter start, grassy, malts, grains, hoppy, bit metallic. Aftertaste: bitter hops, grassy, some malts, pretty metallic in the finish. Very decent pilsener compared to what all the big players are putting out there.

At some beer bar in Lyon: Pours gold with a white head . Aroma is grain and grassy hops. Taste is lightly sweet and pretty bitter. Standard pils, and not bad for what it is.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste are exactly as to be expected: malts, a hint of sweet malts or corn, lightly grains, lightly bitter finish. Average body, medium carbonation. Typical, decent no flaws but unexiting pale lager.

Huyghe’s contribution to the vast puddle of bland standard lagers, taken over from Biertoren in 1993. Moussy, white, quite stable head, colour pale golden blonde. Grainy character with some aromatic hops in the finish, otherwise there is not much to say about this. Just another boring, yet correct lager.

Helder geel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter met licht zure bijsmaak. Verder niet echt bijzonder. Blijft niet lang hangen

Tap. Clear golden with small white head. Some grains and weird metallic and chemical bitterness with minimum hop aroma. Very mediocre.
