Vagabond Soleil Levant 5% Yuzu Wheat Beer The name means Rising Sun and it is a sunflower opaque yellow with an attractive Yuzu and wheatvarona with light spice notes (cloves?). It’s medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. Maybe a bit too gassy/carbonic. The flavor is quite well balanced with Yuzu and eggy wheat. The taste is solid and when I see foreign breweries trying to make a “Japanese” type beer I’m usually curious to try it. This one is pretty good, not so special but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My first from this brewery, found at a local store. Pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white foamy-bubbly head that disappears quick enough, and no lace is found. Aromas of sweet Belgian Ale yeast, citrus notes, lights hops and the wheat. The taste has the banana lightness of wheat with some citrus hints again and mild hops. It is nothing fantastic, but it is all-around interesting with nothing offensive. Organic, Yuzu citrusy and well-balanced between the sweetness and hops.
