Test vom 6.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,10,9,9,6,9 - 8,80

The Sternburg-bottles look terrible. But the Sternburg-Export is the best Sternburg beer, I think. A little bit washy and a very short finish, but it becomes not nasty as other Sternburg beers.

Bottle. (5.2% ABV) Clear, pale golden, with a rocky, white head. Dust, a vague fruityness and hops in the aroma. Quite dusty and grainy flavor, with hay and some bitterness. Thin body and a bitter finish. A beer to stay away from. (070807)

Bottle: Golden coloured, visible carbonation, small and quite stable white layer; moderate sweet-malty-grainy nose with shy bitter traces in the wings; light sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; soloid sweetish-malty finish, supported by some delicate bitterness. A decent Helles.........

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized head. Dense, slightly sweet malty aroma with a grassy and slightly metallic hoppy touch. Moderate bitter flavour, light to medium body, medium carbonation. Malty, herbal and grassy taste, quite harsh; dry-ish bitter herbal and slightly grassy hoppy finish. Definitely not a good beer but also not completely bad.

Coarse smallish white head quickly disappears. Pale yellow body with carbonation. Aroma of apple, cardboard, and some rubber. Taste is light caramel malt with dry, cardboard aftertaste. Some hop notes as well. It’s OK. (0.5l bottle.)

Pale yellow, foamy white head. Weak but pleasant enough herbal bitterhop aroma. Bland an watery - a dry finish, that is pretty much it.

(Bottle 50 cl) Golden with a nice, stable head. Pretty watery impression and very light in body. A very dominant bitterness in the finish. Not very harmonious. 110205
