Bouteille 341ml.

Originally rated April 2005. Bought a six-pack of this at the "Trappe à Fromage" in Gatineau, Quebec, containing five 341ml brown bottle and one Saint Arnould glass. This is really a micro, as the bottle caps are the generic you buy at the homebrew store and has that dent in it when you do it by hand. Looking forward to my first Saint Arnould experience. Pours a hazy yellow-white colour with a very white silky head, and foamy lacing. The nose is yeasty like a witbier, but nice and light. The carbonation is heavy and the taste is quite different at first, as it is very sour. The aftertaste then turns grainy and smooth. Interesting... a mixture of pale lager and witbier it seems to me. Worth a try !

Bottle: Poured a light yellow beer with medium head and almost no retention. Aroma is slightly hoppy with subtle sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is a bit bland, another pale beer which can mildly enjoyable on a hot summer evening. Probably not as bad as the other reviews in here (maybe the brewery brought some modifications…). Also, tasted more like a pale/golden ale then a pale lager to me.

(draft) Served with a lime. Yellow fizzy beer, with light malt in taste, slight hops but little body or else...just refreshing and plain.

Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Very bad and fragrant aroma comes from the beer. Very thin-bodied; almost no flavour at all, and what is tasted is pretty bad. Overall not worth trying, and definately the funniest beer of the evening! I sampled this beer at Joey_Capps' on 13-September-2003 in Hamilton, Ontario.

Pale yellow. Outhouse aroma, with a twist of lime. Ugh. Raw sewage mixed with Liefmans Goudenband. I need another sample to sort out these off-flavours. They are unusual and highly repugnant, in the Studencheskoye mould. Compound brewing flaws are evident.
