By definition, an India pale ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale—and we deliver in spades. One of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with tropical, citrusy, piney hop flavors and aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

4 month old can > wine glass, 1 week until Enjoy By. A: Cloudy light orange gold pour with 1/4" of beige foam that quickly fell to a film, leaving tracks of lace. S: Light scent of mainly pine, tangerine and toffee. A little alcohol and wood. T: Bitter grapefruit pith and orange pulp with caramel and wood malt notes. M: Medium body with crisp carbonation and wet resinous finish. O: Pretty good all around IPA.

Keg @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin head. It's a hoppy ale, flavoursome, with a strength including caramel in its nose and lingering finish.

12oz bottle. Pretty awesome that an IPA brewed in 1997 can still hold up in 2017. The hop bill is a little NW antiquated, but bitter and bold at the same time, more so than most IPAs these days. Filtered, which keeps it clean, because the hops and overall mouthfeel are pretty solid and intense. Pretty much a great IPA that has stood the test of time.

Blik gedeeld door Benzai, geprobeerd met Inoven. Het is een troebel geel bier met een dunne witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige grassige geur. De smaak is hoppig en citrus achtig.

Bought as part of a mixed 6Pack at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins.
It pours from 12oz bottle a clear gold with a large head of foam that shrinks to a fine broken layer with lacing.
The smell is an abundance of citrus hops and spice. When I take deep wiffs, I can also smell some sweet malt. It's a very good nose.
The taste is, well. yummy. Plenty of citrus(grapefruit) there, which is typical for a Stone brew but probably never boring, and about midway through, there's a more than ample maltiness that balances out this IPA beautifully. Man, this baby is packed with flavour and is so easy to drink....a world class American IPA if I ever tasted one. And that's with it coming straight out of the fridge. The flavours get even better as the beer warms up. The mouthfeel is great and it finishes with just the right amount of bitterness to leave me yearning for more. Superb!
Well, I've had this IPA many times before and I always "assumed" that I had already reviewed it. My bad.

Can from Marks and Spencer. Drunk at home. Light gold, a bit hazy with a large but quickly dissipating white head. Lots of lacing left. Pine needles, mango lassi, ample resin and lemon balm in the sumptuous aroma. Initially sweet taste turns bitter quickly, although it tempers with repeated sips. Long finish with key lime and lots more pine in the aftertaste. Pretty good stuff.
