black pour with no head. Smokey aroma with some roasted malt, and a touch of coffee. Really reminds me of a porter but the mouthfeel was a little thinner. Flavor was more roast with a smoky finish.

Visuel : Couleur : brune-rouge foncée. Apparence : claire.
Arôme : Malt rôti, léger de chocolat noir, de pain grillé, notes de houblon herbeux et de levures fruitées (cerises noires).
Goût : Entrée de bouche : Léger goût de levures fruitées (cerises noires, autre petits fruits foncées) avec quelques traces de fumée de bois. Une dominante maltée grains rôtis et léger de chocolat noir est présente ainsi qu’une légère amertume de houblon herbeux et quelques traces de pain grillé.
En bouche : Corps : moyen-mince. Effervescence : moyenne-élevée. Texture : légèrement crémeuse. Finale : moyenne et un peu sèche, légèrement amère de rôti, de houblon herbeux avec des notes de chocolat.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy nearly black with stable light tan head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, with notes of yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of yeast, malt and caramel, with subtle hoppy notes and touches of fruit. Bitter, slightly roasty aftertaste with acetic hints. Soft carbonation. Easy to drink and not bad for the style.

A reddish brown beer with a thin light moka head. In aroma, sweet and doughy, apples, solvents, so-so. In mouth, some unpleasant apple taste, light burned caramel, light bodied. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 22 2010.
