950ml growler purchased from Chez Gibb in Rouyn-Noranda. Very dark black pour, with a medium dark brown head. Aroma is very upfront with some sweet vanilla, and a lovely dark roastiness. The body is light, and the carb is perfect. Medium bitterness, subtle hints of boozy oak, but they are very faint. The vanilla remains prominent, and compliments the roast perfectly. Really impressive beer.

A deep dark porter with a thin creamy mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light coffee notes, vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, vanilla, light maple, pleasant. On tap at L'autre oeil.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Dark brown with small light beige head. Toasted malt, hint of vanilla, feint JD (mostly on the aroma).

750ml (thx, Max C.!) @ Sales Force office. VIntage 2020. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malts with inky notes and harsh wood notes. Taste: along the same lines with roasted malt and vanilla notes. Overall: pretty good.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals a lot of JD whiskey character upfront, followed by light vanilla and toasted malt. Flavour is much less pronounced on the barrel character; it's full of vanilla upfront, followed by dry toasted malt. There's not much body, unsurprisingly, given the low ABV. Not a huge amount of depth, nor are the flavours all that interesting. Okay.
