12 oz bottle purchased in the dollar bin at Cork and Barrel South in Lawrence, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden with no visible carbonation. The white head is frothy, and falls noisily. The aroma is sweet malt, hay, and a soft floral element. The taste is the malt sweetness, herbal, and then the floral character, which is a bit synthetic in the taste (aroma was more natural). The palate is light to medium bodied, low carbonation level, and the floral sweet finish. Not terrible, but not real memorable either.

33cl can. There’s just no way to tell who makes this stuff. A google search turned up evidence that it is brewed by Heineken and so I’m going with that. I’ve found other claims of origin and my guess is that it is contract brewed by any local generic lager brewer. Looks clear yellow and fizzy. No head retention whatsoever. More color than Coors Light is the kindest I can say. Smells tinny and astringent.

Small white head. Clear yellow body with carbonation and little dust-like floaties. Light sugary papery bedroom aroma with mealy carpet notes. Dry-sweet cardboard and grain taste with sugary mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish grainy perfumy earthy aftertaste with spicy fruity notes. It’s not really bad. (0.33l can, Monoprix, Montpellier.)

Boks 0,33l fra Spar-butikk i Nice. Veranda”kos” i rue Rossini 11 Okt 12. Delt med verandakassen. Lys gylden med et lavt kremaktig skum som daler raskt og blir helt borte. Ytterst spinkel maltaroma. Smaken er søt malt. Blir litt syrlig bitter etterhvert.
