Fruit-forward hops take this IPA to the tropics.
Beer Camp is the ultimate brewing experience. We invite beer fans into our brewery nearly every week to design their own beer and then we bring it to life. Each spring, we’ll feature one of our favorite collaborations from the previous year. This year’s selection features intensely aromatic hop varietals rich with the flavors of the tropics. We use Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops to create bright fruit-forward flavors of mango, papaya and bitter orange.

Bottled. Gold orange pour. Heavy mangos and pretty juicy with butter hops. A hit at super bowl party.

Draught. Golden colour with a small white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is grapefruits, floral notes some mild biscuity notes. Flavour is citrus, some toffee and mild herbal notes. Refreshing and easy to drink.

(Bottle) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, peaches, orange peel and honey. Fruity, malty, hoppy taste with mango, pineapple, peaches, orange peel, pink grapefruit, honey and a solid citric, resiny bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Quite bitter, with lots of tropical hops, and rich in malt to match it. Well made and very nice

Wirklich ausgezeichnet!

Draught at Charlie’s Kitchen, 6/3/17.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, beeswax-golden with a thin white head showing moderate-to-low retention.
Lightly fragrant hops don’t regale you with freshness, but there are no catty or sweaty or other off notes. It’s round, fruity (nectarine, apple, light pineapple, hints of mango) and shows plentiful honey and biscuit from the malt, easily (over)balancing. A bit of doughiness as many SN beers have come to contain, from the yeast but no alcohol or resin.
Mild, fruity, rather unfocused in the mouth with a wet, somewhat heavy texture, tending sweet and mushy with peppery, loose carbonation. Still, there is some enjoyable tropical fruit character here, light bitterness and no alcohol or resin. So at least they got that part right. Otherwise, it’s wholly inoffensive and safe.

Pours just slightly hazy golden color, topped with a medium sized, rocky yellow-white head. Biscuity malty backbone with some sweet stone fruity presence and grassy. Solid bitterness with some malty sweetness in the back. Some piney notes later on. Medium body with lasting aftertaste. Expected much more tropical character. Still decent.

Bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Unclear orange in the glass, small head. Tropical fruity on the nose. Taste starts with a strong hop bitterness, fruity in the background. Low sweetness, malt and caramell in the second row. Lomgs lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice.
