Bright, light and subtly sweet. Ultra provides a low carb alternative with bold carbonation to balance malty sweetness and light hop bitterness. A beer that refreshes.

Bottle at the Inlaws. Yup, it's Molson beer. Tastes like export. That macro beer flavour, I can't even find what resembles malts or hops in here. Like other Molson products it has its own Molson taste.... It's just Molson beer. Low carb? Yeah sure, low alcohol? Fantastic. This is craptastic stuff.

473ml can. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Faint aroma of red apple. Faint flavour of grainy corn in a dry, slightly bitter finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average to soft carbonation. Thirst-quenching and inoffensive, but no hops and pretty weak, even for an ultra light beer.

Originally rated June 2004. This is a low carb beer. These beers seem to be the fashionable thing right now. Sleeman made the Clear, Labatt made the Sterling, etc... But of all of them, Molson Ultra is the best for me. It has 4.5% alcohol, as oppose to 4% for the others, which makes this beer tastier then the rest. This is the beer I prefer to watch the 2003-2004 hockey season (specially the playoffs - Go Flames Go !!).

Cannette.

Swillfest ’04: Light yellow. Aroma is non-existent. I wish the palate was, too. There are funky malt notes that just don’t make any sense at all. And the esters - tangerine, pineapple, peach. I don’t get those at all. Even in the sorry universe of low-carb beers, this is abysmal.

Bottle – Poured a pale ale with limited head. Almost no aroma. Body is extra light with standard carbonation. Taste is very light, a bit of malts but mostly water. No worth drinking unless you really like beer and intend on following an intense diet.
