Poured from a bottle. Aroma has quite a bit of chocolate with some light roast notes. medium light bourbon with light oak. Some almond and vanilla notes from the oak. Light dark fruit character. Hints of honey and tobacco. Pours black with a moderately large, thick, light mocha head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly recedes. Medium light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with quite a bit of dark chocolate. Some lighter roast and leather notes. Medium light notes of dried fruits, especially raisins, dates and prunes. Some medium light oak notes with hints of almonds and vanilla. Some light to medium light alcohol notes Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice bottle of Eclipse, but not necessarily my favorite. I like the aroma, but its still a bit boozy for my preferences.

Bottled. A black with a tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and straw, leading to a dry finish.

AdamC. with share of the 650 ml bottle. Pitch black color, thin white head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee beans, ash and bourbon.

The flavor has a solid amount of coffee bean, more mild smoke (very mild, thankfully) vanilla from bourbon and some rye. I like Evan Williams bourbon and this spot on the treatment. Black label with plenty of vanilla. Mouthfeel is nice and full and creamy. You would actually do better to buy the bourbon for the price of this bottle but I am really happy Adam shared this. Very nice.

2014 EV23 Barrel split 6 ways just above fridge temp. This one is pitch black beer with a 2 finger head. Aroma is sweet, fudge, raisin, vanilla and oak staves a little bit of rum. This variant has a lot of roasted coffee and burnt oak. It’s not too sweet in taste and really robust. lingering coffee. Delicious.

Bottle @SBWF. Rather boozy aroma. Taste of red berries, alcoholic like a sweet liquor.
