On tap at Ratio, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of cat piss in the hop department, with saison yeast and some farmhouse character. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of citra dry hopping, saison yeast and medium farmhouse character. Not really authentic, but it's well-structured. Very good.

Draft at Ratio Beerworks. Poured a pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma was light lemon peel, sweet notes. Light crisp notes. Citrus notes, light dusty saison notes. Pretty tasty.

Dear You French Saison 5.5% on tap at the brewery. It’s a very pale gold with a citra dry hopped type aroma . Clean crisp light body with a really flavorful light malts and citra flavor with just a dab of saison spice.

Hazy blond. Thin head. Fruity, yeasty notes with a blast of herbal hops. Earthy, sweet pale malts and a dash of bitterness. Good dry saison...not upper echelon.

At the brewery during GABF week, 2015. Labeled as French Saison. Dry, lots of yeast character. Malt and some spicy hops, and I do not believe it is sweetened at all. Along with the lime gose, this was the best beer I tried at Ratio.

On tap @ the brewery. Cloudy light yellow appearance with a white head. The aroma on this is pretty cool. There’s an intense grapefruit / dank weed thing going on with some white pepper and pears. Medium light body. Low sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Very juicy and refreshing taste. Spicy and dank. Lots of grapefruit. Not a typical Saison but actually, quite fun.

(Tried again to get a better read - still pretty muddled and simple, but on the tail end there is some spicy, citric hop character, and there are very mild pineapple esters - some potential, but needs a lot of tweeking) Tap at the brewery - I got all excited when I saw a 5.5 Saison on tap - sadly, this was pretty disappointing - pours a turbid gold - aroma and flavor are subdued, bland - dull yeastiness, some soft wheat character, moderate tartness - other than that, not much happening - no snappy malt character, no phenolic yeast expression, no esters - just yeastiness and bland malt character - nothing off, at least, so it’s not offensive in any way - I’ll try later batches and hope for improvement.
