Bottle from Beerwulf. Aroma is liquorice, dark malt, caramel, spicy with some aniseed, candy sugar. Flavour is quite sweet and sugary with a modest bitterness. Body is medium but strikes as thin for the style. Too much liquorice and sweetness.

Bottled@Littlepub, Vaasa. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is rather strong on star anise, liquorice and caramel, with mild chocolaty and toasted tones. Flavour is anise, grains, some grass and mild chocolaty and vegetably notes. Kind of messy.

Quite aged sample No head to get on this copper-brown beer, still, with some verdigris notes. Oxydation, nutty, walnuts, X-mas cake. Sweet soft port, even some sherry. Again nutty, alcoholic X-mas cake hints. Finish has a sweet, pastry-like flavour. Light body, not doubt linked to its age. No carbonation left. Quite drinkable despite its age. Interesting, thanks to Stef!

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 28/11/22. Black with a tan head that soon escapes to nothing. Nose is dark malts, charr, light spice, herb, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises dark malts, mellow roast, liquorice, cocoa powder, herb, dates, brown bread, raw fruit cake mix. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Passable stout.

Fles 33cl in IJmuiden. Wat droppig, zoet, redelijk koolzuur, rood fruit, zacht, wat koffie, roasted malts, droog. Klein beetje dun. (24-10-2020).

Flesje gedeeld door Joepvw. Het is een licht troebel roodbruin bier met grof schuim wat snel weg is. Het aroma is houtachtig en rokerig. De smaak is zoetig, gedroogd fruit en dropachtig.
