Aged in Rye Whiskey barrels, our workhorse of a Stout oozes smooth layers of chocolate and entwines with sharp notes of rye that are rounded out with ample aging in American oak. Enjoy!

Thanks! Sampled draft @ Billie’s Beer Festival 2018. Day 1. Black syrup. Nose is alcoholic, bit too boozy, low varnish. Taste is better still varnish and alcohol but also tasty, rye, bourbon, sugar, vanilla, sweetish caramel, coffee, oak, vanilla, warming, mocha, chocolate, syrup, lovely, bit hot but taste is great.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small to no head. Aroma: malty, meaty, bit smoky, whisky, alcohol, sugary touch, caramel notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol, coconut, sweet touch, little roasted, bitter touch, more alcohol. Aftertaste: whisky, caramel, meaty, touch of salami? Good beer.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Konkey Dong - Can Release Party" on 05/07/2017. Brown-black color with a medium beige head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Fantastic aroma of toasted rye bread, malt and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of spicy rye malt, chocolate, bourbon and a bit of vanilla. The finish is rye bread and bourbon. Very good beer all around.

Tap at Central Waters. Big, rich, chewy Imperial Stout. Very similar to the Bourbon Barrel version. Brown sugar, molasses, woody candy barrel action. Very tasty, barrel forward. Remains drinkable. Caramel chocolate richness. Right on, not really such a big difference between the Bourbon Barrel though.
