Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up in Bulgaria. Pours clear ruby-brown with a tight, creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour with hearty peaty whisky character, well toasted malts, mild earthy bitterness, some dry smoke. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate warmth in the finish, nice dryness, more rich peat, a little more smoke and ash, meaty malts, hints of toffee. Excellent stuff. Has aged well.

Bottle at home, 20th June 2020. Pours a dark mahogany brown. Aroma is caramel, barrel, wood, dark fruit. Taste is woody, barrel, some peat and liquor, caramel, sticky, but the wood and liquor temper it. Lovely complexity and a great beer

Pours a dark brown colour, little head. Aroma is boozy, bourbon, caramel, dark malt. Big body with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is rich and complex, malty, sweet. Lots of caramel, boozy, with a lot of bourbon coming through. Finishes long and boozy with an intense vanilla, oak, bourbon flavour. Lovely BA version of an already lovely beer.

Bottle. Dark amber pour. Aroma of fruity whisky, soft peat, raisin, smoke, ripe fruit, caramel, vanilla, oak and malt. Taste has peat, smoke, raisin, iodine, vanilla, booze, malt, bitter caramel and a boozy scotch heavy finish. Lots of delicious barrel character in this one, but the body remains intact. Great beer.

Very dark brown with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a nice balance of sweet toffee, milk chocolate and malts against light earthiness and peat. Excellent.

Clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Silky malts. Sweetish. Mellow fruity Whiskey soaked fruits. Touches of toffee and malt cream. Modest spice. Quite a light finish. Fine. Quite drinkable but lacking some maturity and depth.

Bottle. Dark amber color. Toffee and vanilla in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with toffee, vanilla and whisky. Hint of peat. Alcoholic, but fairly well balanced.
