0,5l from bottle at Sanders place shared by Saeglopur, big thanks. dark brown color, no head. smells of vanilla, berry notes, coconut, honey, bit chocolate. very nice smell. full body, no carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of honey, berry notes, vanilla, light chocolate, jammy. finishes rather sweet with berry notes, honey and some vanilla.. very sweet, very tense. rather heavy one (actually too much tough)

Dark purple colour. Amazing aroma, vanilla, chocolate truffle, roses, concentrated berries, and a hint of mix spices. Sweet, luscious, the berry juice is upfront, followed by melting white chocolate, hint of spices, vanilla oak, with prominent acidity, and I even forgot about the alcohol. Rich, decadent.
A Fruit Wine rather than a Mead. Perfect drink.

Bottle @ Mikkeller Aarhus. Deep red with no head. Aroma is honey, vanilla, oak, berries and rich. Flavour is honey, berries, vanilla, oak, sweet, rich, complex, little perfume, little citric and medium dry.

8-4-6-4-16 Sample from bottle, courtesy of and @ Mjøderiet. Pours translucent dark red, with no head. Aroma is tart fruity notes, with black currants, blueberries, musty fruit peel and sweet notes of heather. Creamy body, with no carbonation. Flavour is sweet berry notes, with blackberries, blueberries, forest berries and musty fruits, as well as earthy notes and honey. Dry finish.

Bottle at Bottlecraft - San Diego. Pours clear, but deep and dark reddish purple. Rich aroma, some blackberry, blueberry, cherry. Big sweet flavour, forward blackberry, lots of jammy preserves, mellow alcohol, supportive honey, lightly toasted honey. Full bodied, lightly chewy. Warming finish, sweet at first but then tangy and dry, more rich and subtly tart blackberry. Exceptional juice.

(Bottle sample @ Omnipollos Hatt, Feb 24/18) Pours purple-red with no head. Aroma of deep blackberries, past jam into liqueur, white chocolate, earth, vanilla, deep honey. Flavour is again intense, jammy and slightly earthy blackberries, dark honey, touches of vanilla, balanced white chocolate, a kiss of acidity and black currant quality but ultimately mostly on the sweet side, bare touch of booze. Full bodied, syrupy. For me the second best of the berries, the blackberry is rich and earthy and the sweetness has just enough acidity to balance it. Beautiful.

Bottle pour at Bottlecraft, pours a deep dark ruby / mahogany. Aroma is intense on liqueur-coated blackberries, along with vanilla and sweet white chocolate. Flavour is intense, with incredibly deep blackberries, full of high sweetness and just a hint of the pith, with light vanilla and white chocolate. Sweet but not cloying somehow. Another incredible product from the mead masters.
