This earthy, brightly acidic mead balances the lingering tartness of whole blackberries and carefully selected honey. Intensely fruity with balanced acidity, a complex flavor profile and an earthy aroma, this mead is reminiscent of picking fruit on a mid-summer day. A strong option for the cellar, blackberry will continue to mature and develop in the bottle for years. Blackberry pairs well with creamy cheeses, duck, and veal. Bottle split at Watford Tasting, thanks to the Wingmane, 11/03/22. Rich claret pour with a faded crimson cap. Nose is sweet blackberry puree, honey drizzle, sugars, soft berry fruits. Taste comprises blackberry compote, lockets, honey melt, sugars. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol but well tempered for 14% boost. Solid.

375ml bottle - Pours a deep dark red colour. The aroma is blackberry, honey and earthy woodland forest notes. A syrupy sweet taste, honey and blackberry jammy flavours with an oily mouthfeel and more blackberry in the finish.

Bottle shared in Watford - huge thanks to Dave. Pours clear, deep burpee, no head. Medium to big sweet flavour, rich dark and aged honey, lightly tart dark berries, blackberry. Full bodied, lightly chewy. Lightly warming finish, more well and sweet dark honey, ripe blackberry. Delicious.

Bottle shared at the watford tasting 11/03/2022. Huge thanks to Wingman dave for this one. A thick dark black plum coloured pour. Thick. Aroma is dark grape skins, alcohol. Prune jammy berries. Acai. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, big jammy berry, mellow honey, fruit skins,, blueberry, blackberry light tang. Vanilla. Palate is medium sweet, sticky thick, velvety. Delicious

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - like deep red wine or Port. Nose - blackberry, black olive and lightly meaty. Taste - rich but tart blackberry. Blueberry and black cherry. Palate - medium to full bodied. Rich, tangy and fruit tannins and acidity. Overall - lovely stuff.

Bottle. Pours deep red. Blackberry, cherry, black pepper, tobacco, sweet blackcurrant, heady fragrant flower blossoms, raspberry. Nice smooth body. Very good.
