Can shared. Clear golden with small white head. Sweet pineapple, sweet tropical fruit, malty, sugar, a touch of alcohol, more sweet fruit juice, light bready. Quite sweet, just medium bitter. Over medium bodied.

Can shared at Linh’s birthday. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, grainy, fruity, grapefruit peels, hoppy, grassy, resiny. Quite sugary sweet and bitter, over medium body and soft carbonation.

Hazy double IPA by Kees in collaboration with Track, from a colourful can mentioning 8.4% ABV rather than the 8% given above. Thick and frothy, eggshell-white, thickly cobweb-lacing, stable head over a hazy, vaguely ochre-ish tinged peach blonde beer with refined but lively sparkling of tiny bubbles blending in with the hop and yeast particles, quite an attractive sight. Dank, very tropical and citric aroma of moldy old grapefruit, stale orange juice, wet marijuana, overripe shallot, diesel, tofu, ripe papaja, soaking wet biscuit, lychee. Fruity onset, sweet ripe pineapple, mango, lychee and papaja with a light sourish lime-like edge as well as a subtle, tofu-ish protein effect; soft but lively carbonation, full and very fluffy, soft mouthfeel as befits a hazy DIPA. Lovely sweetbready and soggy-biscuity maltiness drenched in a tropical and very dank hop mix of mango-, diesel-, onion- and lychee-like impressions, at the same time very citric and refreshing, adding late and relatively soft peppery bitterness and a slight powderiness to the finish, where a warming, brandy-tinged alcohol effect appears as well, albeit nowhere harsh or astringent. Very luscious, extravagant, bold and brightly coloured DIPA in the new hazy trend, this is one of the best in this particular style I’ve had from the Netherlands (maybe even Europe) so far and certainly the best IPA of whatever substyle I had from Kees’ kettles.
