Pint can pours with a dark mahogany to chocolate colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, a sliver of burnt malts and then dark roasted coffee and dark breadiness. The taste delivers smooth sweetened dark roasted maltiness, milk chocolate, dark roasted coffee and then mild malt sweetness that drills down to faint sweet dark fruity esters. Pretty good stab at the style.

Can @ home. Thanks Denk! Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, a bit sweet, hardly any bitterness.

Shared can. Pours dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, coffee notes. Almost has some perfume-like qualities, likely from the hickory. Doesn't quite work overall, but decent.

Pour is a black with a fairly large tan head. Aroma is some roasted.char malt with maybe some hickory in there. Flavor is a nice roast malt with some marshmallow type sweetness. I did not get much of a woody hickory but this was still a decent porter albeit a bit on the sweet side.
