A clear golden beer with a white lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, yeast, spices. Taste of belgian yeast, pale malt, spices, moderate bitterness.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is peppery yeast, malt, fruity notes, touch of citrus, spicy yeast. Flavour is light to moderate bittersweet. Medium body. Pleasant enough.

Dark yellow colour with thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour are grainy and yeasty. Decent Saison. Refreshing. Dry finish from the yeast.

(Draught at Café Bruxelles, Haarlem, 17 July 2024) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of citrus, white bread and herbs. Fruity, floral taste with white bread, herbs, peaches, white bread and a mild citric/floral bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced saison. Nice one.

Bottle 30cl. @home poured into a shaker. Clear pale amber colour, good frothy white head, slowly dissipating, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, wheat, banana, cloves, saison yeast, metallic notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, wheat, light banana, hay, peppery notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, sugary notes, some yeast, peppery on the tongue, a bit messy and not really a saison but nice.

Helder geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht kruidig met iets van banaan, wat citrus en een vleug karamel. Eigenlijk gewoon een heel goed bier, alleen vraag ik me af waarom er Saison op het etiket staat. Ik ben heel anders gewend.
