From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Heavy spruce motherfucker with a big puckering sourness. Aroma is vinegar, floral suggestions, rosemary, some yoghurt, and more spruce. Body is medium. Bold and beautiful eccentric, heavy on the spruce.

Bottle, 75cl, at Habitat. 2008 vintage, 9.3% ABV. A lightly hazy one, orange-golden in color and topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Fruity-sour aroma with peach, some vinegar and earthy notes. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, nicely carbonated and with a gentle acidity. The flavor has some pale malts in the back, with peachy, sourish fruityness and an earthy, almost funky touch. Some honey hints kicking in towards the very end. A nice one, but glad it was a shared bottle, would be challenging to finish one alone. 240801

Dregs pour. Tart, and spicy, but also the fermentation seems a bit off. There's things in here that I don't want to be in here.

750ml bottle, as Sahati (2018), 9.3 % abv, kindly shared by Bryne at Habitat. Shared with him, yngwie and Anders. Filmy layer, cloudy amber body, scattered lacing. Prominent aromas of honeyed spruce, mid-dry. Rich flavours of ripe lemon, farmyard and spruce, offset by honey sweetness. Tart and sweet ending, oaky, and rather dry. Well bodied. Slow sipper. Quite alright with cleanser qualities. (Trondheim, 01.08.2024).

Bottled. Amber colour, smalll white head. Aroma is tart berries, fruits, wood and some spiciness and yeast. Flavour is pretty much following the same as the aroma in a fresh way. Inspired by Sahti? Maybe if you had sour sahti yes.

375ml bottle – Pours an almost clear dark reddish amber colour with a tiny off-white head that settled to a thin film. Aroma is tart fruit, berries with notes of honey and spruce. An initial sharp tart taste, quite a lot of flavours follow, sweet honey, spruce, tart fruit, berries and vinegary flavours with a dry sour finish. It’s not Finnish so not Sahti but an interesting sour all the same.
