Bottle from Tesco, Burnley. Amber with a thin head. A little skunky, there’s a malty sweet character to this ale.

500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 4th Nov 2015. Clear light amber body, on top a deep and full white blanket of foam. Mild hoppy, floral nose with a mini malt lead in the taste and a bittering finish to the overall flavour. Better than I expected to be honest. Chilled a little too much (by me) at first, got better as it warmed.

500ml bottle from Morrisons - clear amber pour, thin white head, doesn’t last long. Nose is caramel and citrussy, some floral notes come through as well. Taste is gentle, easy drinking, with just a little bitterness at the end. I wouldn’t rave about it, but it is an okay beer.

Bottle from Morrisons and drunk at home; Gold amber colour clear, lasting off white head. Some Badger house yeast on the aroma. Other than that there isn’t much. Malts area little caramel, there is some bitterness on the finish. Dominated by the house yeast. Doesn’t allow the other flavours to show.
