Hazy IIPA w/ Nelson Sauvin, Enigma, Galaxy & Vic Secret

We could call this one a lot of things. A reflected duplication, maybe. A beer reversed in the direction perpendicular to the surface…or an optical effect that results from the reflection off substances such as water (or beer). Here’s what you have to know: when you flip the script and scour the Southern Hemisphere for your hops, you can create huge, explosive flavors that express themselves as insane blasts of fruity and tropical notes with remarkable complexity. You just can’t get these flavors from anywhere else. Now it’s your turn—flip it one more time. Bottoms up.

Galaxy is known for absolutely over the top aroma potential, and is stone fruit and tropical forward. Think mango-peach bomb. Vic Secret delivers a soft and lush, rounded tropical note with no harshness. Enigma has qualities of fruity white wine along with mild stone fruit 6 notes and undercurrents of red berry.

Murky yellow with a large foamy head. Sweet yet bitter with earthy hops, pine, pineapple and tropical fruit. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Pours hazy orange with a two finger head. The aroma is of tropical fruit, resin, and malt. The flavor is of sweet malt, resin, and a little citrus. Sixpoint has taken the lower bitterness idea of hazy IPAs further than most with a number of very low IBU beers. It's too far on the sweet side for me.

Pour looks like a hazy IPA with a small white head. Aroma is apricot and grapefruit with some sweet honeycomb. Flavor is white wine right off the bat with some bitter grapefruit and a touch of alcohol. Decent use of down under hops and that white wine was a pretty nice surprise.

The Aromas are apricot with a little Citrus and resin hops plus some wet and dry grain. Flavors are like nose, sweet and tangy at first with growing bitterness. Good carbonation and body. Decent finish. Nice beer.

Cans from the releaseday: pours murky haze with a white head. Large fruity aroma, mango, passionfruit. Quite on the sweet aide. Low bitterness. Typical but quite good.
