Bottle picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire UK, had this at home Xmas Eve, Thursday 24th December 2020 cooking Chertha Kozhi Kari aka Chicken and cashew curry with ginger, cardomom and chilli, listening to Craig Charles standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6 Music. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Has that very typical streaky British Bitter beer bitterness, I miss this simplicity, earthiness, it's a great example of a classic style. Nice fruitiness, really good.

Bottle from the brewery. Appearance - deep autumnal red with an edge of damson. Nose - tonnes of red fruit, such as cranberry and raspberry. Taste - damson and prune. Sweet caramel and brown bread. Palate - medium bodied, tangy fruity middle. Dry finish with malt bitterness too this time. Overall - interreting beer.

Cask @ Coracle, Ironbridge. Clear amber, small white head. Lightly sweet malt on the nose. Taste is generally fine as a standard bitter, could be sweeter, lightly bitter.. lacking the depth others seem to have found in bottle unfortunately. Overall expected a little more vibrancy, even for a bitter.

Bottle, from the brewery online shop. Mostly clear, dark amber. Thin and bubbly, creamy white head. Nose has berry fruit. Hint of chocolate malt. Hint of caramel. Whiff of coffee. Smells like a dry stout in a way. Some fresh leafy hop in the background. Taste has a touch of sweetness with a clean and fresh bitterness. Light bodied, with some dryness. Soft carbonation. Lingering light bitterness to finish. Great bitter.
