We brew whatever we want, unless our robot overlords object. Luckily this time HAL was benevolent and permitted us to make this roasty and smooth Baltic porter with zesty Spruce tips in collaboration with our dear friends from 7Fjell Bryggeri.

Gahr: Open the mash tun slide, please, HAL. Hello, HAL, do you read me? Hello, HAL, do you read me? Do you read me, HAL? Do you read me, HAL?
HAL: Affirmative, Gahr. I read you.
Gahr: Open the mash tun slide, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Gahr. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Gahr: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Gahr: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This Beer is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Gahr: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL.

From mugi beer shop, at Bussigny, a right option on Sunday night after a walk at Sauvabelin with the children. For me, it was a correct experience, solid porter, brewed rather on the English way, smooth, malty, a bit sweet, roasted, cocoa, subtle, 13.03.24, at home.

Tap at Beergeek. Almost pitch black body, off white head. Cocoa overwhelmed by a dried plum and fig aroma. Lean taste, blueberry cream, a little bit meh, atypical maltiness, but okay I guess.

170ml draught, 7,0 % abv, at Ølhallen. Almost black in the glass, low fawn-coloured head, clingy lacing. Inviting smell of black malts, hints of liquorice and earth. Interesting taste character of liquorice and dark berries, nicely roasted. A coffee note to a well roasted and dry malt-driven ending. Fine depth. Likable. (Tromsø 04.09.2021).

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black, with fine cream foam. Aroma is roasty, intensely herbal from the spruce tips. Body is rather thick, but with quite a tickling carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, somehow bitter. Final is still intense of spruce tips.

From tap at Apollon platebar, Bergen, 12.03.21 as a lucky result of my flight to Kristiansund being cancelled. Dark brown. Some brown head. Aroma and taate of roasted malt, coffee, brittle and pine with some bitterness lingering on. Crisp mouthfeel. Good!

Smell-weak to medium, malt, roast, coffee. Foam-thin bit to medium, roasty, cofee, malt. Head is medium-sized, medium-dark brown color, quite fine foam. Appearance- nice can, with nice reference and name.Black color, few carbonation bubbles. From- snifter Taste - malty, roast, coffee. Muffled bitter aftertaste. Never been big fan of porters but this seems similar to the rest, maybe in some way I like it more than others. Not great, not terrible.

Can 440ml (Beer Hunters). Opaque colour and medium-sized beige head and lace. Sticky toasted aroma, maybe light licorice. Medium-bodied. Toasted malty with herbal flavours. It is spruce tips but same time a bit weird. Not my favourite BP, I'm sorry.
