440 ml can from Beru Vykhodnoy in Moscow. Pours black with a tall beige head. Aroma is raosted malts and coffee, with some citrusy hops poking through. Taste is dry, ashes, coffee, very roasty. Medium bitter finish. Unusual. Very stout-like.

Can from EU swap 1/2019. Thanks Minutemat! Well attenuated, thin body, moderate carbonation. Loads of hops and bitterness all over the place, grassy, zesty, typical CDA hoppiness. Slightly more roast than some might like, but okay with me. Drinkable, tasty, very good.

Tap at Murphy’s Law. Hazy dark brown with big beige head. Roast, raw cocoa, dank fruity hops, soft marijuana, light dried red berries, earthy leaves and dry old wood. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Just medium bodied with a bit dry feel.

From a 330ml bottle on 28/10/2015. Pours a very drak brown with a big head. Has quite an odd aroma - blackcurrant is accurate, with some vegemite yeastiness. It’s a malty beast in the mouth, with lots of roasted, burnt malts, some chocolate notes, and more vegemite. There’s a bit of sweet fruit in the mix, and the bitterness is firm and resiny. The texture is a touch creamy and the carbonation soft. An unusual and quite interesting black IPA which I’m a little undecided about. Perhaps I should give it another try...

Bottle from Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a yeast, grass nettle hop bitter, light grapefruit sour palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
