Bottle. It pours and amber colored body, clear mostly, with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite weird, sort of, with coffee, heavy toffee, some dried fruits and a touch of orangey hops. Too much coffee grit I think, and that goes for the flavor too. It’s full-bodied, quite smooth and semi-sweet, with a good dash of toffee mixing with the coffee. Prunes and some bitterness too. Lasting roasted, coffee-ish finish. Think I’d prefer this without the coffee-like aromas and flavors. 161209

33cl bottle from Meny Oslo City. Pours fairly clear amber with some lumps of sediments floating around and a modest, bubbely, off-white head. Hoppy and quite malty aroma with notes of caramel, American hops, hints of dried fruits and wood. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and a fairly nice bitterness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gygr Amber Ale on 08 Jul 2016 at 18:54 - Score: 6
