Amber color with a fine tan head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Nice Christmas touch in this one. Spruce, some spices, fruity and toffee in the flavor.

Huge fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry spiced, weeds, cloves, minerals, yeast, spruce twigs, dark malts, grass, ginger, bark. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, cloves, bark, grass, ginger, spruce twigs, yeast, dark malts, paper. Medium bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Meh.

A few 330ml bottles shared with friends. A stable filmy layer over an apricot coloured body with a slight haze. Spotty lacing. Inviting Yuletide aroma of spiced dark malts with underlying hints of herbal hops. Nicely spiced taste as well, moments of mild ginger and cinnamon, supported by cocoa and some dried fruits towards the ending. Medium bodied. decent Yuletide feel (Juleølaften, Tromsø 04.12.2015).

Big beige head. Clear brown body. Spicy gingery aroma with lacquer notes. Dryish spicy gingery taste with herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel, a little metallic. Dryish mealy herbal ginger aftertaste with spicy notes. A bit weak and thin for a gingery Christmas beer. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Lørenskog.)

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, cinnamon, ginger and hint of chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long spiced, caramel and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Way to christmas spiced for my taste..

Bottle. A hazy, amber colored beer with a dense, beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is quite spiced, with ginger and some cinnamon. Cocoa powder, roasted notes and some pale malts. It’s full-bodied and a bit heavy on the carbonation. It’s too spiced in the finish, but more pleasant initially. Peppery hints, ginger, citrus zest and cocoa in the flavor. A quite weird beer, but I love the saison-ish touch to it. 151212

33cl bottle from Vinmonpolet Storo, Oslo. Fairly spicy aroma with nice Christmassy notes, dark malt, caramel, and hints of herbs and hops. Medium sweet, but we’ll balanced, nice Christmas flavours and a pleasant bitterness. Surprisingly tasty Christmas brew!

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Veldig mørk amber. Høyt skum med litt farge. Innholdsrik aroma. Julens krydder + grønnsåpe. Smaken ble bare vaskemiddel. Bra forsøk - men det ble ingen “Underlig Jul”. En del bunnfall som ga uklar siste kvelling.
