Backlog January 2016. Thanx to Cunningham for trading. Slightly unclear golden body under a big, dense white head. Mild aroma with some fruit and peppery spiced yeast. Taste is unusually and difficult to describe, mild malt, fruit, herbs, spicy, dusty hay and slightly harsh bitterness. Medium body and rather long lasting kinda bitter aftertaste. More interesting than nice.

Bottle. From a trade with Cunningham. A hazy golden colored beer with a white head. Some curtains. Fruity, lightly tropical, orangey aroma with a peppery, spiced touch and some herbal hints. Grass notes. It's full bodied, quite dry and nicely carbonated, with a pleasant bitterness. Fruity flavor with orange zest, a vague raspberry hint and some yeast. Peppery, herbal notes. Lasting fruit dominated finish. A bit yeasty in the flavor, else it's s very fine beer, even though it's close to two years past the best before date. 180518

Bottle from Daly’s Drinks, Boyle [221215]
Pale orange, very hazy, far too overcarbonated and required 2 pint glasses to pour
Aroma - Peppery, soft sweet fruits, hint of tangerine
Taste - Spicy, soft peppery, yeasty, light fruits, soft tangerine, some creamy sweet malts in background which have a good flavour, dab of candi sugar
Palate - Medium carb (eventually), medium body, creamy texture, quite sweet. Finish is quite dry, more spicy, peppery, bit more bitter, getting hint of brine on the tail.
Overall - I don’t think the saltiness adds anything to this beer. Quite a nice Saison, some nice creamy candi sugar malts in there. Too much yeast sediment in the bottle.

At a tasting, small stable bubbly head, clear light orange color, aroma of yeast and sea weed with hints of almonds and citrus, harsh bitterness, suprising sweetness, strong yeastiness. Unbalanced and over the top.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden. Spicy aroma with salty seaweed, yeast, citrus, a bit zesty. Sweetish flavor with citrus, yeast, salty seaweed, and a kinda harsh bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Taste is slightly harsh floral, weeds, yeast, flowers, bark, grass, hay, light malts, minerals, saltwater, paper. Medium bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

50cl bottle from Cunningham - thanks a lot for this lovely gem. Pours clear deep golden with a lasting, white head. Mild, but interesting aroma with notes of fruits, grass, herbs and Belgian yeast. Guess the seaweed is responsible for some of the grassy and herbal notes. Moderate sweet with a bit unusual, but lovely flavour. Finisher with a nice bitterness and a moderate bitter aftertaste with with some grassy/seaweedish notes. Quite delicious brew!
