500 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Fruity aroma with peach, lychee and pale malt. Flavor is mild fruity, light pale malt and medium bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nothing groundbreaking going on, but it’s easy to drink and a pretty nice thirst quencher.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours hazy dark golden with a fair, white head. Fruity and somewhat herbal aroma with tropical fruits, hints of citrus and caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with pleasant fruity flavours and a quite balanced bitterness. Big slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is sweet grassy, strawberry jam, wet grass, leafs, bark, soil, wet cardboard, harsh hops, minerals, dried fruits. Taste is harsh grassy, weeds, wet grass, bark, soil, strawberry jam, harsh hops, hay, leafs, cardboard, dried fruits. Medium bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

Hm, en uventet bonus å kunne være den første til å rate en ny øl fra Amundsen, så jeg åpner flasken (fra Vinmonopolet Verksgata, Stavanger) og skjenker, full av forventninger, oppi mitt Duvel-glass. Lett uklar oransjegylden farge mot ettermiddagssolen, og med højt og eksemplarisk skum som følger med hele veien ned. Myk aroma med toner av tropiske frukter (og noe blomsteraktig, muligens lavendel?). Behagelig og bløt i munnen, med elementene fra aromaen. God balanse og særdeles lett å helle over drøvelen. Når glasset er tomt tenker jeg det er på tide å dra av gårde til personalfesten - happy and with no worries, mate!
