Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy, caramel malts, yeast, hops, newly cut lawn, leafs, roasted grain, hints of grapefruit. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, caramel malts, roasted grain, hay, nuts, toffee, chocolate, hints of coffee. Longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice enough.

Rerate, on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy orange to reddish brown colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Moderate aroma of piney hops and brown malts. Sharpish and dry hoppy character, with a hint of coffee and lightly roasted malts. The brewery has better beers than this one. Original rating: On tap at the brewery, served too cold. Reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Very moderate aroma. Sharp hoppy character in the flavour, fairly dry.

Taster on a visit to the microbrewery. Off-white head that laced well. Cloudy, dark apricot coloured body. Citrus to the nose. Fresh taste profile of sappy oranges. Mid-dry citrus shells to the finish. Medium+ bodied. Fresh and clean on the swallow. Another nice one from Nøisom (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).

On tap at the brewery. It pours an unclear, amber body under a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has pine and citrus peel, and caramel and crystal malts. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, with oranges, citrus peel and a pleasant maltyness. Caramel and some brown sugar. Full body and a nice carbonation. Pretty dry compared to what I expected from the aroma. Sure, it’s a fine brew, but there’s something about it I’m not sure about. 140215

Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, pine, citrus and orange. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long fruity and piney finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
