Our American IPA. We use hops. Lots and lots of hops. Uneconomical amounts of hops to be quite frank. We use the hops inefficiently to maximise the aroma and flavour we extract without turning this beer into something aggressively bitter. 12 different hops in perfect harmony, the result is a huge, glorious hop presence, both in aroma and flavour. Yes there is bitterness at the back end but it will never overwhelm your palate, just make it thirst for another swig.

500ml bottle. Hazy orange brown with a thick frothy off-white head, thick lacing. Aroma: lots of hops, citrus, pine, resin. Taste: citrussy, piney resiny hops and a lot of them, orange, grapefruit, marmalade, malt, decent bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Awesome IPA.

Very hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Light dry malts bring a very mild sweetness. Little citric peel, mildly bitter. Good ripe tropical fruits, especially mango. Mild hop spice and mellow sweetish pine. Touch of fresh orange towards the finish. Mild bitterness and even a little berry fruits. Nice, very quaffable.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy amber body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tea, marmalade and blood orange. Flavour of parma violets, cream soda and orange pith. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Dry and bitter. A tasty IPA.

Cask, gravity, at The Beer in Hand, Hereford, Sunday 1st November 2015. Pours gold with a sticky white head, some tropical notes on the nose. Tasty with a lovely juicy fruitiness, hoppy and bitter end but nice tropical flavours a little pineapple perhaps? It’s good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
