It's an indisputable fact – beer alone is responsible for the evolutionary leap from ape to man. This malt-forward ale is balanced with Willamette hops for a crushable amber that would make Charles Darwin proud. (previously Evolution Ale).

0.355l can from Beer Republic. Aroma is toasted malty, caramelly and dried fruity, Pours cloudy dark amber color with thick creamy tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts light to medium sweet caramelly with dried fruity acidity, following is grassy and bready, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. No evolutionary ale…

On tap at the BP. Clear mahogany pour. Thin off white head. Nice smooth toasted and sweet woody maltiness. Very low hops and a little under buttered even for an amber. Nice malt character

From old notes. In my recollection I have only had beer from this brewery when in Utah, which was 2001. As Vagabond Ale. Pale blonde color. Nice layer of foam. Aroma's of malt, grain, some sweetness and fruit. Flavor is light grainish, light sweet, fruity. Light bodied. Light bitter finish. Clean and flavorful enough for 4% ABV.

At Cowboy’s Smokehouse, Panguitch. Pours hazy amber with a lasting, foamy, off-white head. The light aroma contains caramel, nuts, malt and hops. It tastes medium sweet and very light bitter with a short finish. Light body, slick/watery texture, soft carbonation. Lacking some taste evolution...

On tap at Wasatch, pours a clear orange amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of bready malts and no hops. Not much going on here. Meh.

Bottled 355ml. -Finally! The most expected beers have arrived! Well, the story goes like this - my friend "Dragan the Drot" went to live to USA, Salt Lake City, so I’ve asked him to bring me some Wasatch beers when he would come to visit Croatia. So, he came here some four years ago, but have brought no beers. Then, a week later, his girlfriend came too, and he said she was bringing the beers. But, again no beers - they said she was thirsty and drank them while waiting for plane to catch....hmm?! Some time after that, he has sent a package - I though this is it, but no, he has sent a bottle of tequilla! (very good tequila but never mind). And now, after six years of waiting, my friend has come to visit again and this time he has brought a bunch of Wasatchs beers plus one Squatters! Heeeellll Yeaaahhhh!!!
Now something about beer itself...Clear amber coloured, small airy off-white head, dust and caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and quite watery with nutty notes in the finish. Short sweet finish. Expected better one.
