Purple Haze® is a lager brewed with real raspberries added after filtration. It is brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and Vanguard hops. The berries add a fruity aroma, tartly sweet taste and a subtle purple color and haze...you may see fruit pulp in the beer. This beer is best served with salads or light fruit desserts, such as soufflés or chiffon cakes. Many people enjoy it with chocolate desserts. Purple Haze® pairs well with certain cheeses, such as ripened Brie or any dessert made with mascarpone. It’s also great paired with entrees prepared with fruit, especially citrus. Consider enjoying Purple Haze® alone at the end of your meal as dessert.

Bottle. Poured hazy gold with a white head. Aroma consisted of fruits and a touch of malts. Flavor had the presence of raspberries and while easy drinking, it is not complex in anyway.

Bottled (CK). Hazy dark orange color, small white head. Lightly tart and metallic rasberry aroma. Watery, bland palate. Light fruityness, rasberry seeds flavor, a bit wheaty-grainy. Light sourness, not much, in the finish. Overall very watery and useless.

pours cloudy golden with white head. Aroma of raspberry, and a lot more present than in the tap version. Taste, thick mouthfeel, raspberry feels more like a juice than a good purée. Light tartness, some floating yeast. Overall sweet and very one dimensional. Really not the fruit beer that will leave a mark, feels too fake / extract.

Location: You can find this one anywhere, last one I had was a 12 oz bottle at Louisiana Kitchen in Bethesda, MD.
Aroma: Fruity and sweet
Appearance: Hazy orange color, foamy white head.
Flavor: Light, wheat, fruity and smooth
Palate: Light body
Overall Impression: Not so much a good beer, as a good fruit beer. I mean I don't love the style, but this one is pretty tasty, super drinkable, and perfect for people who don't really like strong beers, as it not strong at all, but still has some taste to it. I always suggest this one for non-beer people looking for something slightly (and I do mean slightly) Micro. What can I say? I rated it higher then it deserves, but I like this one, especially on a warm summer day outside, when only a light wheat beer will do.

Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. Bright white head recedes to hug rim. Stale raspberry aromas. Crisp and raspberry upfront turning to a nasty, stale raspberry bubblegum.

Pours with a hazy yellow body and a small white head. Nose of fake raspberry, wheat, hay and some blueberry syrup. Taste is wheat and a watery, weak, with a bit of raspberry jam. Slightly astringent wheat quality. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

12 oz draft at Epcot during the Food and Wine festival. Pour is slightly hazed golden, with just a touch of blueish purple peeking through. Aroma of light raspberry fruit, actually nice natural smell - just not much of it. Taste is tart wheat with a covering of the raspberry. Taste of the fruit was less natural tasting versus the nose. Overall, decent and drinkable.

This smelled and looked really good. Cloudy, rasberry’s and yeast....but this dissapointed it’s too sweet which I thought with the rasberry’s being fresh and not artificial it would be sour and not sweet, but it was and it masks what may be a good wheat underneath.

This fruit beer poured a cloudy light yellow colour with a bright white foamy head. To the nose there is scents of citrus fruit like orange and grapefruit. First taste is very watery with a faint flavour of raspberry. Very little carbonation. The palate is a weak attempt at a fruit beer with a light lingering fruit flavour. Way too light.
