Tart farmhouse ale with honeysuckle and fresh orange zest.
The changing season never cease to inspire those who grow, craft, and create. Looking towards spring, we source citrus fruits from the heart of winter and the first flowers after the frosts to herald the extension of the light. Spring stretches out before us, and our days grow longer, lending sunlight and joy to guide the work of our hands. Fille de Ferme is a foeder-rested, brettanomyces farmhouse ale fermented with honeysuckle and fresh orange zest. This lightly tart ale is our homage to the rustic spirit of old world Belgian-style farm beers.

Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - thanks to Matteo for ordering and the team for chipping in. Moderate brett funk in the nose, some lemon, tangerine, melon. Light sweet flavor, very dry, with subtle lemony tartness, some hay, old leather, apple. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and cleansing on the finish, with further tart lemon, dry wheat. Very nice.

Bottle shared on Level 42 9/3/16. Thanks to Matteo for sourcing. Hazed yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is nice bretty saison yeast, slight pepper, straw midget gems. Flavour is composed of tangy pithy lemon, straw, clean medium mellow sourness, Palate is tangy, pithy, airy, frothy, tangy. Slight petrol. Good.

Bottle at Level 42. It pours hazy pale gold with a thick white head. The nose is earthy, musty, manure, dirt, smoked cheese, orange sherbet, cracker, brett, spice and hay. The taste is crisp, tart, sour orange, lemon sherbet, soap, cracker, earthy brett, limeade, straw, funk, floral and light lactic twang with a dry finish. Medium body and highish foamy carbonation. Aroma is very dirty. Overall ok, but far from a game changer.

Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, groupl split, 09/03/16. Lightly hazed yellow glden with a decent off white cap. Nose is juicy tropical shreds, brett tones, orange pith, straw, green berry tang. Taste comprises pissy clementine, citric tinged straw, apple core, wood must, green berry must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced puckering curtain call. Decent sour, plenty of flavour for the ABV, good balance.

Purchased a 500 ml bottle from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Label reads: bottled on 9.10.15 with a Batch number of 941. Color is a bright hazy yellow with a spirted carbonation level. Aroma is nice; Brett with a mix of floral notes. Hints of lemon citrus.
Base of the brew is Pilsner malt and honey like malts. The honeysuckle gives a floral character with the body being lighter with a lively tingle of carbonation over the palate. Brettanomyes is light but present. The funk hits the palate then is gone fast with a clean finish. My first ever Wicked Weed brew and damn nice! Well crafted.

Pours hazy pale yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Honey and citrus aromas. Soft and thin with sourdough upfront turning to tart citrus before the medium length marshmallow finish.

Bottle in Winter Park with jcnielsen. Thanks Justin! Slight hazy light yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma has sweet grain, orange citrus, dust, and chalk. Light body. High carbonation. Off dry. Low bitterness. Orange and lemon citrus, honey, and chalk. Ok.
