(330ml bottle from Systembolaget/tap @ Omnipollos Hatt) Pours black with a fine, fairly stable medium brown head. Aroma of cocoa powder, coffee, touch of toffee, vanilla, chocolate cake, nuts, spices, very subtle smoky pepper, earth. Flavour is sweet and dessert-like but with a bit of roast acidity as well, malt core has caramel and a bit of fruitiness, some cacao, hazelnuts, vanilla, roasty coffee, earth, touches of pepper in the bottle version but some substantial ancho on the back of the back end of the tap version. Body is fairly full and oily, with soft carbonation. Pretty big flavours as you'd expect from Omnipollo, but maybe less integrated with one another than some of their stouts. Solid.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, chocolate brown. Thin and dense, super sticky, leggy, viscous, dark tan head. Looks boss. Nose has chocolate milkshake syrup. Coffee milkshake syrup. Some vanilla. Some green pepper. Taste is chocolate sweet, with a light, green pepper spice. Smooth mouthfeel. Belies the ABV. Pretty silky, really. More of the green pepper on the finish.

Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, spices, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, syrup, toffee and cinnamon. Taste is sweetish, roasty and earthy with some spices, earthiness, coffee, chocolate, mudcake, vanilla, syrup, toffee and cinnamon. Finish is sweet, sticky and syrupy with some roastiness, coffee and chocolate, hints of spices, chili, cinnamon and vanilla. Sweet and complex, but a bit unbalanced.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a lacing, light brown head. Sweet roast nose paired with a rather intense booziness. Very thick and almost syrupy body, sweet roast, vanilla but not cloying. I don't really get the peppers and that's just fine with me. Also the booziness from the aroma is pleasantly lacking in the flavour. Nice one. 161117

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, small brown head, chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, light vanilla and notes of chocolate mousse with noticable but balanced alcohol. Sweetish roasty finish. Quite nice.

Thanks! 330 ml. bottle sampled. Black, small mocha head. More coffee forward than you would expect from an Omnipollo beer, there is actually roast, roasted coffee in the finish but it quite balanced, mellow overall, basic chocolate malt, milk chocolate, low coffee roast, big hazelnut, nutty overall, low hazelnut milk almost, chocolate syrup, the chili in the back builds a bit. Nicely balanced & tasty non-pastry tasting stout surprisingly. Thick body but not as thick as you would expect. Very tasty, looks like I liked this one a lot more than most.
