Appearance is oily black, with a thick dark-brown head. Coats the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, rich coffee, hints of vanilla, booze, stewed dark fruit. Taste- rich dark coffee, chocolate fudge, chilli heat, sweet boozy notes, oily mouthfeel. Quite intense and a bit unbalanced.

Svart med fingerhøyt lys brunt skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, kaffe, nøtter, kakaopulver og havre. Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, kaffe mokka, lett bitter mørk sjokolade. Lang, noe chilli i avslutningen.

On tap. Pours black with full dark tan head. Aromas of dark syrupy chocolate, chicory, soy, mocha, and thick roasted malts. Rich flavors follow same. Dark bitter fudge. Great stuff. Maybe some hazelnuts too now that I read the description. Though can’t get the chilis...

From bottle thanks to Dimitris. Black color with brown head. Malty aroma, roasted, bread, grass, coffee, chocolate, licorice. Sweet and heavy bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

From tap at Bøker & Børst with BHK 26.10.17. Ebony. Brown head and lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, vegetables and mild chiili.

33 cl bottle at Kungstorgets Brygghus, Göteborg, on October 19, 2017.Black color, brown head. Sweet, alcohol, vanilla, bourbon like, cacao scent. Gave aroma a 6 first, then comes lots of higher alcohols, feelings of badly distilled booze, lowered to a 4. Malty, thick, sweet, fruity taste. Roasted, sweet aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Not sure the beer was ever intended to be close to balanced, but it is not, and as such I found it hard to even take more than a few sips of it to be honest.

Sample at SBWF 2017. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, vanilla and some caramel. The same in the taste. Sweet and with a full body. The finish was long.
