The Saison Dupont is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1844, this beer has been brewed in our farm-brewery, during the winter time.
Then this beer became a second refermentation in the barrel.
During the next summer, this very thirst-quenching beer was served to the “saisoniers” which were working on the fields.
Surely therefore, our Saison Dupont is considered as “the classic” among the Belgian season beers!
Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quenchener with no equal, just the way it was created.
Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

33cl bottle. A almost clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of dry herbal malt, yeast, floral hops. taste of herbal malt, pale malt, yeast, grains. Nice!

Smooth fresh funky beginning. Easy to drink, fruity with a deep and spicy funky aftertaste. Grain with hints of sourness, very funky, refreshing and sourish nice.

The benchmark; the gold standard of farmhouse ales. Notes of grass and straw, flowers and red apple, butterscotch and earth, wheat and forest. Starts dry with hints of yeast and lemon, then grows subtly sweet before picking up a woody, blossom-tinged bitterness. Goddamn wonderful.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het heeft een helder goudgele kleur met een vol wit schuim. De geur is moutig en gistachtig. De smaak is gistachtig en wat wrang.

A very earthy beer with lots of funk. It is extremely dry on the palate, leave the mouth almost needing more liquid. medium-strong bitterness, but balanced. Complex farmyard tasting beer, prototypical for the style. Online belgian beer factory.

Bière 75 cl ramenée pour l'apéro par ma famille. Jolie blonde claire trouble, levure en suspension. Mousse blanche sur 4 mm. Au nez, malts clairs légers, acidulé, citronné. En bouche, belle carbonatation, céréales et houblon, attaque douce, équilibrée, légèrement acidulée, portée sur la levure, fruitée, subtilement houblonnée. Un classique sympa, équilibré, léger, parfait pour l'apéro.

Bottle @ home. First of all, how on earth have I not rated this before?? After 18874 ratings... I guess I must have always assumed I had rated this ages ago. Odd. But here we go! Clear yellow golden color, huge sized white head. Aroma is moderately malty, typical yeasty saison-ish. Flavor is similar although I find this particular bottle a bit dusty and well.. odd. Hmm I normally like this better. Rating it like I remember it, not like I'm tasting this.

Draught @ Ginger Man. Clear golden with small foamy white head, very faint earthy aroma, adequate carbonation, mildly bitter taste with dried fruits flavor, smooth body, long dry finish. Dry and tasty, a good brew.
