Smell- weak malt, caramel, sweetness? Foam- thin, yeast, caramel, acidic, weak sourness and alcohol. Head is creamy brown, orange-white color. appearance- brewer bottle cap and amazing label as usual. Half hazy? Very dark ruby color with a nice effect on the sun in it, weird... like light is broken in an odd way making god rays in. From - snifter Taste - malty, acidic, caramel, then aftertaste hit of hops and roast. Very malty but also hoppy with enough sweetness in the mix still bit too bitter for me... still tasty.

Bottle shared by B. Clear amber with a brief head. Malty and oaky with some vanilla, dried fruit, some herbs and grass. Quite sweet and caramel forward. Decent.

33cl bottle: BB Jul 2021. Poured into a Leffe chalice at home on 17th Aug 2019. Deep brown body, ruby hue to it, wispy top. The nose and taste have Rye and semi-sweet malty molasses to the fore, it's boozy and woody in flavour but doesn't have that 'aged' feel or depth of flavour that I associate with 'Oaked' beers. Still liked it though.

(Draught at Bishop's Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm, 23 Feb 2019) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, chocolate, cacao, raisins and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, caramel, cacao, vanilla, dried fruit, cinnamon and a slightly vinous, but fairly dry, finish with a mild bitterness. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Quite powerful, still tasty and in good balance. Nice one.

Bottle. An unclear brown beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with molasses and licorice notes, dark rye bread, some dried fruits, some alcohol notes and some foresty hints. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and pleasantly carbonated. There's a pleasant sweetness in the mouth, with roasted malts, dark bread, spices and a touch of dark fruits. A decent bitterness, lasting for a good while. A quite roasted barley wine, but it sure works fine. 190712

Tap (Crowbar & Brewery, Oslo). Malty, full body, caramel, a little bit coffee, strange in overall, hard to say it's barley wine but some notes of fruits are noticeable.
