Made in Dublin, Ireland at St. James's Gate, Guinness™ Nitro IPA is brewed with Irish barley malt, a touch of roasted barley and five hop varieties — Admiral, Celeia, Topaz, Challenger and Cascade. The Challenger, Cascade and Topaz hops are dry-hopped to accentuate a sharp citrus aroma. The beer's blend of CO2 and Nitrogen helps to balance out the profusion of hop flavors, while also creating the signature surge and settle made famous by Guinness™ Draught. The IPA is brewed with the same unique Guinness yeast strain used to ferment all stouts at St. James's Gate.

Can. Aroma of malt, cream and herbal hop. Taste has creamy malt, must be maris otter. Also grapefruit, herbal sweet hop and a little citrus. Reminds me of an old school british ipa. Meh.

Bruin bier met volle stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is romig en licht bitter hoppig met iets van ananas, citrus en karamel. De echte Guinness smaak is nog herkenbaar in de bier.

Can. Pours clear light brown with large creamy white head (nitrogen). Aroma is almose not present because of the thick head, but faint hints of sweet malt, caramel. anise and lemon. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is creamy and smooth. Finish is medium long and light bitter with notes of caramel, sweet grapefriut, orange, lemon, anise, liquorice and bread.

Can 440 cl. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a lacing, off-white head - really looks like a severely oxidized IPA. Biscuity nose, very earthy British hops. Thin body, flat and dull due to the nitrogen, biscuity again with some odd, perfumy notes. Vitamin notes. So bland and old school Real Ale so it almost hurts. Really poorly executed, and truly a mystery why Guinness would release anything this inferior. 200918

T: light malty backbone, decent bitterness, grassy, bit citrus, caramel, bit more on the sweet side, average for the style, medium body and carbonation, nice look that’s all, 44cl can (5,3%) from Carrefour Market in Vertus, France.

What an utterly boring beer. IPA? Ehhhh did someone forget something when they brewed this one?
Clear golden color with a fine thick creamy head. Nice lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Mostly malty and some flowery notes. Balanced sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Caramel malty, herbal/grassy and some flowery notes. Not recommendable stuff.
