Barrel Aged Sour Lager. After primary fermentation with classic lager yeast, we've pitched a blend of Brettanamyces and our in house sour pitch. Lagered in a combination of ex wine & neutral American oak casks for 14months, to provide a well balanced beer with crisp bitterness, backed up by refreshing acidity.

440ml can from Bier Huis. Gluten Free. Orangey amber brown colour, bubbly white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of sour citric rind, funky. Taste is sour, citrusy, some grain & biscuity notes, lemon rind, wood barrel, fruity, funky, salty. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry soured biscuity finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can. Craft and Berry, Sheffield. Pretty dirty looking, medium copper brown. Ring of off white foam. Nose has red wine vinegar. Sour cherry. Old wood. Tab ends dropped into a shot glass. Stinks. Taste has a light sweetness, with some cherry stone sourness. A bit flabby on the palate for a supposed lager. Foamy carbonation. Tart and a little dry on the finish. Like a Flanders red gone awry.
