Very dark coppery brown colour with a small brown head. Aroma is toffee, some mild wooden and floral tones with a bit dried fruity elements too. Flavour is spiciness, some grassy and mild toffeeish tones. Smooth, but ends somewhat watery and strange.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2020, batch #114, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of dark kandij sugar syrup, medium dark malts, only a hint of orange peel and coriander seed. Medium sweet and malty flavour, with the same elements as the aroma.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival. An unclear brown beer topped by a small beige head. The aroma has caramel, some heavy toffee and dark dried fruits. A touch of alcohol too, but not bad considering the ABV. It's full-bodied, sweet and softly carbonated, with flavors of brown sugar, dark dried fruit notes, some toffee and a good dash of caramel. Belgian style yeastyness in the back. Medium length finish. A bit plain this one, but not foul in any way, and it hides the ABV very well. 191005

330ml bottle, 2020 version/vintage, #106, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pours a bubbly, fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Near-black in the glass. Inviting aromas of dark malts, lightly smoked, and dried fruits. Rich taste of dark and dried fruits including prunes and dates, supported by dark chocolate malts and a bite of syrup. Long-lived ending with a welcome roasted bitter touch. Full bodied. Enjoying slow sipper on a Yuletide eve. (Tromsø 23.12.2020).
