Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a dense, small beige head. Aroma has dark malt and coffee with something slightly sour hiding somewhere in the background. Flavor is dark malt, caramel, coffee and hint of licorice. Moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing outstanding in any way.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.8%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Malty but medium dry flavour with a slight citric acidity, distinct notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate.

Bottle. A black one, with a nice beige head leaving lacing. The aroma has chocolate and roasted malt, with notes of coffee. Quite plain, but nice. The same can be said about the flavor, plain but nice, with the same chocolate, roasted malts and coffee found in the aroma. Some cocoa and generic dark malt flavor too. Full to medium body and a very smooth carbonation. Semi-sweet. Medium length finish. A pleasant brew indeed, Trollbryggeriet has certainly improved over the years. 241103

50cl bottle from Gardermoen, taxfree. Poured near black in color. Licorice, some chocolate, coffee, light ash. Drank this warm. Nice enough.
