Lost adrift on the vast ocean, a team of Amundsen's explorers had a salt water induced fever dream. They dreamt of a powerfully balanced IPA with tropical, piney, hop flavors, dripping with malt sustenance. With their last remaining energy they carved the recipe into the deck of their raft. The last one who survived would make this IPA as a dedication to his lost brothers at sea. What you are holding in your hands is that beer. Meticulously reproduced by Timothy Albert, the lone survivor of the Great Hoptipus Attack of 1897.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Pilsner, Carared, Caraaroma), hops (Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe, Citra, Cascade), yeast.

Wildly illustrated can at home. Sweet malts, exotic fruit, mango, pineapple, strawberries, grass, biscuits. Moderate sweet and quite some bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bit milkshakey feel.

Keg at Andrew Usherβs. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and plastic toys. Flavour of orange peel and tinned peach. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A simple IPA thatβs not particularly distinctive or flavoursome.

Tap@Bootleggers, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head and lacing. Sweet fruity and malty, with some sweet caramel malt, some grapefruit and citrus rind, piney resinous hoppy into the close. Decent old school west coast ipa rendition.

Can. A hazy red beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of lemons, straw, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, citrus fruits, straw, and a bit of caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap. Pours clear orange, large creamy off white head, great lacing. Aroma is pine, Grapefruit, hint of melon and orange. Flavors is medium sweet, light plus bitter, overly hoppy but not harsh , pine needles and grapefruit zest. Medium body, silky mouthfeel. A bit sweet, old school hop selection, but it works well.
